Ukraine will hold local elections in Russia-annexed Crimea only after it rejoins Ukraine, said the Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko in Davos as cited by the Presidential Press Secretary Svyatoslav Tsegolko on Twitter.

- We will return Crimea, that’s for sure, and after that Ukraine is ready to hold local elections on the peninsula, posted Tsegolko as citing Poroshenko.

Poroshenko signed a Decree "Issues of President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea", according to which the representation is to promote the observance of constitutional rights and freedoms of Ukrainian citizens either residing in the temporarily occupied territory or those who moved to the Ukraine’s territory. The representation is to take action to support and ensure the political, social, informational, cultural and other relations with the Ukrainian citizens who live in the temporarily occupied territory.
