KYIV (QHA) -

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that Ukraine will return the uncontrolled territories of Donbas and the occupied Crimea. He made a corresponding statement during the action "The First Minute of Peace" in Kyiv, according to the page of the head of state on Facebook.

“No war, unfortunately, can do without sacrifices and a drop in the standard of living. But for us, both capitulation and victory at the cost of colossal and unacceptable sacrifices are equally unacceptable. Probably, a sensible, not adventurous and responsible approach to the liberation of the occupied territories will take more time, but victory is inevitable,” the president said.

Poroshenko stressed that Ukraine uses various methods for the liberation of the occupied territories.

“We will definitely win, we will win this time too. At another cost, in another way, by other means. Not only the military, not only defensive, but also politico-diplomatic," he said.

Earlier Petro Poroshenko said that the inhabitants of the Crimea sooner or later will participate in the presidential elections in Ukraine. He noted that instead of the Russian Anschluss there will be a Ukrainian return - the return of the Crimea to Ukraine and Ukraine to the Crimea.
