In a phone talk, Petro Poroshenko discussed with Vladimir Putin the immediate release of Nadiya Savchenko and Russian GRU officers Eugeniy Yerofeyev and Alexander Alexandrov, according to a message on the website of the Ukraine’s President.
The two leaders agreed that due to the deteriorating health condition the Ukrainian pilot must be urgently admitted by the Ukrainian and German doctors, as well as by the Consul General of Ukraine in Rostov.
So far, Savchenko’s health condition is critical. According to one of her lawyers Ilya Novikov, Savchenko continues a hunger strike and is severely exhausted. However, her sister Vera has managed to persuade the Ukrainian pilot to agree to a drip chamber.
