The leaders of the two states discussed topical issues of cooperation within the framework of international organizations. In this context, Benjamin Netanyahu expressed sincere gratitude for the constructive and friendly position of Ukraine in the UN.

The parties also discussed the plan for the May visit of Ukrainian Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman to Israel, stressing the importance of further building up bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

Poroshenko and Netanyahu confirmed their intention to complete negotiations on concluding an agreement on a free trade zone between Ukraine and Israel by the end of 2017.
