Poroshenko and Biden discussed sanctions against RF

The politicians discussed the process of reforms in Ukraine and the steps for the de-occupation of Donbas under Minsk agreement.

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a telephone conversation with the Vice-President of the United States Joseph Biden, during which the parties agreed upon the extention of sanctions against Russia, according to the press service the Presidential Administration.

Besides, Poroshenko and Biden discussed the elements of the "road map" for the implementation of de-occupation of Donbas under the Minsk agreement.

Within the conversation the progress of reforms in Ukraine was discussed as well.

October 12, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe adopted two resolutions with the amendments proposed by the Ukrainian delegates. The two resolutions on Ukraine imply the extension of sanctions against Russia to restore full sovereignty of Ukraine, condemnation of the illegal elections in Crimea as well as the prohibition of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people.
