The head of the Ministry of Defense of Poland Antoni Macierewicz and Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak signed an agreement on cooperation between Ukraine and Poland in the field of defense and rocket engineering on November 2, the press service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry reports.
Poltorak said that there is a mutual understanding between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Poland on issues related to the preparation of personnel, advising, equipping weapons, intercommunication, logistics and infrastructure.
"... Today we have signed an agreement on cooperation in the military sector, which allows to significantly expand our cooperation in 24 areas of activity, i.e. it covers almost all spheres," said the head of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine.
In turn, the Polish Defense Minister specified the cooperation.
It (the agreement - Ed.) will cover industrial cooperation in the field of rocket technology, in particular, used in orbit injection systems, as well as other technologies for land forces," Macierewicz said.
Poltorak arrived in Warsaw with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the recognition of independence of Ukraine by Poland.
On December 2, at the meeting of the Presidents of Poland and Ukraine, Andrzej Duda expressed strong support for Ukraine in its struggle for sovereignty and territorial integrity and said that "today, the task of Europe and the world is to ensure the return of Ukrainian territories."
