WARSAW (QHA -

The Head of Foreign Ministry of Poland Jacek Czaputowicz made a number of anti-Russian statements, among which he noted the need to maintain sanctions against Russia and called on Moscow to return the wreckage of the Tu-154M to Warsaw.

The Minister said that Russia is an aggressor, and sanctions should be preserved in this regard.

Speaking about the wreckage of the Tu-154M aircraft, on which President Lech Kaczyński crashed near Smolensk in 2010, Chaputovich said:

“It must be immediately returned to the Poles.”

According to Jacek Czaputowicz, Russia is also unfriendly towards Poland's position in the European Union regarding the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, as well as an alliance with the United States.

"In this regard, there is no chance for any cardinal, close relations, but this does not mean that these relations should be frozen," Jacek Czaputowicz emphasized.

Earlier, the Polish Foreign Minister said that the historic dispute between Warsaw and Kyiv will be possible to settle at the meeting of the Vice Prime Ministers of the two countries.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed that Poland is aware of the concern of the Ukrainian authorities regarding amendments to the law on the Institute of National Memory.
