All materials against Lenur Islyamov, a Crimean blockade coordinator, who initiated the creation of an armed volunteer battalion in Kherson region, Ukraine, will be collected and transferred to the Federal Security Service, said Natalia Poklonskaya, the Prosecutor of the occupied Crimea as cited by RIA Novosti news agency.
- Since Islyamov claims he is the organizer of the illegal armed battalion, currently we are conducting checks and collecting materials against him that are to be transferred to the investigating authorities of the Russia’s Federal Security Service in the Republic of Crimea, said Poklonskaya.
According to her, the materials will be sent to the investigative unit for making a decision under the criminal procedure laws. Poklonskaya also said the Islyamov’s actions fall under the Part 1 Section 208 of the Russian Criminal Code (organization of an illegal armed formation or participation therein).
- Crimeans should not be afraid of the battalion, as the country is strong enough to ensure peace and security on our land, said the Prosecutor. As QHA (Crimean News Agency) reported earlier, the Crimean blockade coordinator Lenur Islyamov announced the creation of the Crimean Tatar battalion named after Noman Çelebicihan.
