The Crimean "Prosecutor" Nataliya Poklonskaya commented on Facebook on the yesterday's ban on the Mejlis imposed by the Crimean illegitimate court.

- Any actions by the Mejlis in the territory of the Russian Federation will be regarded as illegal. If the members or representatives of the organization carry out any activity contrary to the court’s decision, they will be brought to justice, she wrote.

According to Poklonskaya, the representative body of the Crimean Tatars has been taking steps for the organization of mass disorder since the date of annexation of the peninsula.

In the meantime, the "Prosecutor" does not recall an illegal referendum held at gunpoint, non-recognition of Russia’s occupation of Crimea by the international community, as well as the systematic work of the Russian Secret Services aimed at repressions and detentions of media representatives who are politically undesirable. The latter cases have evoked a wide response in the world.

On April 26, a court in Crimea delivered a verdict, recognizing the Mejlis an extremist organization and banning its activities in Russia, including Crimea.

The Head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, Refat Chubarov said that International organizations, including the UN, will respond in a matter of days to the banning of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people by taking relevant action.

As QHA reported, on April, 26 at the hearing in the “Mejlis case” the First Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, Nariman Dzhelyal said that the international organizations such as the UN, the OSCE, the Turkish Government, the US and EU countries voiced support to the Mejlis.
