Petition to repeal the “Yarovaya’s anti-terrorism legislative package" has collected more than 100 thousand signatures on the Russian public initiative website. Next, it will be sent to the federal level expert working group.
As of 00:10 on Sunday, 100 thousand and 98 people voted for the initiative. The vote ended having collected the required amount of signatures.
About 1.5 thousand people voted against.
The term of the decision on the initiative is no longer than two months from the application date, informs the website.
According to the initiative’s authors, the law "contradicts the Russian Constitution and totally useless from a technical point of view."
“Antiterrorist legislative package" proposed by the deputy Irina Yarovaya and Senator Viktor Ozerov, was adopted by the State Duma and the Federation Council at the end of June. July 7, the “Yarovaya’s Package" was signed by the President Vladimir Putin.
