At a meeting with the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Ilkka Kanerva the Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament required to give a legal assessment of Russia’s actions aimed at organizing elections to the State Duma in occupied Crimea.
- The Russian Federation will conduct the parliamentary elections in September this year. I’ve called on the international organizations, including the OSCE, to give a clear legal assessment of the attempts to carry out pseudo- elections in occupied Crimea, said Andrei Parubiy.
The Verkhovna Rada Chairman stressed that Crimea will always be a part of Ukraine, and the global community “should not allow Russia's abuse of the international law."
In turn, the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly claimed the sanctions against Russia would be extended.
