KYIV (QHA) -
Ukraine is working on the including people directly involved in politically motivated trials of Ukrainian citizens in the Crimea and Russia to the sanction lists, the Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin reported to the "Investigative Journalism Center".

“We try to determine clearly who should be included in the sanction list in each case, when our political prisoners are tried either in Russia or in the occupied Crimea, on the basis of the information that we get from the prisoners’ relatives, from international human rights organizations and lawyers,” Klimkin said.

According to the decree of President of Ukraine of September 16, 2016 "On the application of personal special economic and other restrictive measures", which entered into force on October 31, the extended sanctions, are imposed on entire sectors of the occupier’s economy, apart from those against supporting Crimea's annexation and the pro-Russian militants in the Donbas.
