MOSCOW (QHA) - Palestine expects to receive the United Nations Security Council’s consent to set up an international commission to investigate the causes of Yasser Arafat’s death, said the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Moscow Fayed Mustafa, according to Itar-Tass. “The Palestinian people and leaders are going to continue efforts to reveal the mysteries of the death of our leader, Yasser Arafat,” the ambassador said. When it was confirmed that Yasser Arafat died not under the burden of declining years or because of illness it became clear that there was some mystery about his demise and the Palestinian leadership is determined to reveal it” – he added. Fayed Mustafa said that the Palestinian medical commission continued working. Meanwhile, consultations are held about Palestine’s official address requesting that an international investigative commission be set up, the ambassador said. “It is known that setting up an international commission requires the decision of the Security Council of the United Nations,” the ambassador said. According to the ambassador, Palestinian diplomats now discuss the matter with institutions of the League of Arab States to guarantee the Security Council’s consent to setting up the commission.
