The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine called on both sides of the Ukraine conflict, particularly, on the pro-Russian militants, to enable OSCE access to all territories in eastern Ukraine to monitor holding of the cease-fire.
Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Ertuğrul Apakan said on Sunday afternoon at a briefing,Censor.NET informs.
"The OSCE SMM called on both sides of the Ukraine conflict to enable OSCE access to all territories in eastern Ukraine to monitor holding of the cease-fire," he said.
Apakan added that the OSCE monitors failed to enter Debaltseve because the militants did not allow them to.
He stated that the cease-fire in the Donbas and Luhansk regions is held "with some exceptions".
Meanwhile, the town of Debaltseve was shelled again on Monday, February 16. Among the ruined houses is the town's police station building, the chief of Donetsk regional police Vyacheslav Abroskin reported.
