Terrorists of the so-called "DPR" and "LPR" commit acts of violence and threaten the staff of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Donbas, reported the US Ambassador to the OSCE Daniel Baer as cited by UNN with reference to the Wall Street Journal.
Russian-separatist forces constantly threaten and use violence so that OSCE observers not to see the facts the militants do not want them to see. From April to July, the OSCE patrols were denied access more than 120 times, in most cases by the Russian separatist forces. The OSCE is regularly denied entry to the uncontrolled territory of the Ukrainian-Russian border, Baer said.
According to him, the pro-Russian militants permanently block, threaten, harass and fire the employees of the OSCE SMM, which include around 700 civilian observers from more than 40 countries.
