Deputy Prosecutor of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Oleksandr Udovichenko said that citizens of Ukraine who will participate in the organization of presidential elections in the annexed Crimea are to face 15 years imprisonment.

According to him, such period provides for an article of the Criminal Code of Ukraine on high treason.

The Prosecutor's Office notes that for citizens of Russia who will take part in the organization and holding of elections on the annexed peninsula, criminal liability is also provided under articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine on the seizure of state power and encroachment on the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

QHA reported that the World Congress of Crimean Tatars called on compatriots to boycott the so-called presidential elections in the occupied Crimea. Congress called them illegal, unlawful and immoral.
