Operation of an electoral committee in the town of Belaya Tserkov has been brought to a halt after its members failed to show up for work, reads a message posted by the Ukraine’s Voters Committee in social media.
The situation occurred after the committee’s Deputy Chairman and one of its members had their powers prematurely terminated on October 23. On the following day, the committee was to meet to swear in its new members but failed to do so after 8 of its members failed to show for no valid reason.
On the following day, 9 members of the committee failed to show up and its next meeting never took place for the same reason. According to the Ukrainian Voters Committee, elections in the town of Belaya Tserkov may be disrupted due the latest happenings.
