US President Barack Obama and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a meeting in Washington in the framework of the Nuclear Security Summit, Reuters reports. They discussed joint efforts to combat the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist group.
Obama also expressed the deepest condolences to the Turkish people on behalf of the US citizens over the terror attack in Diyarbakir.
The US President held a number of meetings with other senior politicians as well.
It was reported earlier that within the framework of the Nuclear Security Summit in Washington, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko held a meeting with US President Barack Obama where they discussed the development of strategic partnership between Ukraine and the US.
