Today it`s impossible to find out the number of Crimean Tatars conscripted by the occupation authorities of the Crimea, Eskender Bariev, the member of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, stated at a press conference.

Information allowing to find out this data, belongs to the commissariats of the annexed peninsula, which means that it is inaccessible for the Ukrainian human rights activists.

“We do not have the ability to track all conscripts by names. Now our task is to inform people that service in the Russian army is extremely undesirable,” Bariev emphasizes.

According to his statements it is already known about the cases filed against the Crimeans who refused to serve in the Russian army and a big number of young people who leave for the mainland of Ukraine to avoid conscription.

The Prosecutor`s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea asks Crimea residents to inform about facts of conscription into the Russian army.
