Nino Burjanadze declared persona non grata in Ukraine

Ex-Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Nino Burjanadze has been prohibited entry to Ukraine due to her statements on Crimea.

The leader of the Georgian Party "Democratic Movement", the Georgian parliament ex-speaker Nino Burjanadze has been declared a persona non grata by the Ukraine’s Foreign Affairs Ministry, reported the portal of the public association "For human rights” Haqqin.az citing the Head of the "Alliance of the Baltic-Black Sea Nations" Tamara Shavladze.

Several non-governmental organizations demanded the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry to ban entry for Burjanadze because of her statements about the occupation of Crimea.

A year ago, July, 11 2015, on the air of "Russia 1" TV Channel Nino Burjanadze said that "Crimea is and will be part of Russia."
