NATO: Russia war gamed nuclear attack against Sweden

The Russian Federation has successfully war gamed a scenario of beating Sweden with nuclear weapons.

During regular internal exercises the Russian Federation successfully war gamed a scenario of defeating Sweden with nuclear weapons, reported the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg during the annual report.

- The exercises included a simulation of nuclear attacks against a number of NATO member-countries and its partners, in particular the attacks in March 2013 against Sweden. The army also honed a covert movement wilth large military equipment and personnel as a demonstration of threats to countries neighboring Russia, reads the report.

According to Jens Stoltenberg, as of 2013 the Russian army has conducted 18 large-scale exercises with a number of troops reaching more than 100 thousand.
