Russia has not complied with any point of the Minsk agreements after their signing, according to the letter of the President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Michael Turner addressed to Ukraine's Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin.
In his letter Mr. Turner expressed regret in connection with the refusal of the Russian side to respect and implement the Minsk agreements, in particular regarding the release of Nadezhda Savchenko, illegally detained Ukrainian pilot.
"As you know, I have repeatedly urged the Russian authorities to release all Ukrainian prisoners illegally detained in connection with the military aggression of Russia against Ukraine, as required under Minsk accords. Unfortunately, to this day, Russia has failed to implement this, and almost all other conditions set out in the agreements," reads the letter.
At the same time, Michael Turner emphasized that NATO will remain firm in condemnation of Russian aggression and occupation of part of Ukraine's territory.
