National Security Council approved ‘Savchenko-Sentsov’ list

The Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council approved a sanction list "Savchenko-Sentsov" against a number of persons involved in the organization, illegal detention and imprisonment of a Ukrainian pilot Nadiya Savchenko in Russia.

- The National Security Council has approved a Savchenko-Sentsov sanctions list, Svyatoslav Tsegolko, Press Secretary of the Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko reported on Twitter.

As QHA reported earlier, March 17, in Brussels Petro Poroshenko met with the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz. The Head of State passed Martin Schulz Ukraine’s proposals to impose sanctions against persons who trumped up a case against Nadiya Savchenko. The President noted the need to maintain the EU sanctions until Russia fully implements Minsk Agreements.

March 22, the Donetsk Court in Rostov region sentenced Nadiya Savchenko to 22 years in prison.
