(QHA) -

Muslims of Novopokrovka village of Kirovskoye region in Crimea performed a prayer (dua) dedicated to 1th anniversary of the beginning of constructing a mosque, named after Adnan Suyen, who passed away shortly after the construction began.

Muslims prayed to finish the construction of the mosque and to open it for everyday prayer. As the mosque is not finished yet, it hosts prayers on Fridays and Muslim holidays only.

Crimean Tatars, attending the dua, commemorated the memory of Adnan Suyen—head of Crimean Tatar Dernek of Bursa— who initiated the construction of the mosque.

On January 5, 2014 Suyen passed away of a heart attack. He was 59 years old.

Religious Administration of Muslims of Crimea took a decision to name the mosque after him.

The mosque in Novopokrovka will occupy 80 square meters and will be able to receive 80-100 people at once.
