Today at the Conciliation Council of Heads of factions with the Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada the Head of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Anna Gopko said she asked to include in the agenda on Thursday an appeal to the parliaments of foreign countries regarding the elections to the Russia’s State Duma on the territory of temporarily occupied Crimea. The appeal was prepared jointly with the Ukraine’s Foreign Affairs Ministry.

Illegitimacy of recognizing the election results to the State Duma in the section of their conduct on the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea. Our committee wants this appeal to be backed by the Parliament since following the elections Russia will try to promote all the elected representatives to the various types of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and the European Council, said Anna Gopko.

This morning, giving a speech at the Conciliatory Council of heads of factions for the Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada, the Chairman of the People's Front parliamentary faction Maksym Burbak said that so far MPs should focus their attention on the protection of the state border.
