Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ratified the Agreement on the opening of the NATO Representation to Ukraine. A total of 281 MPs approved the draft law No. 0082, a QHA journalist reports. 

The Agreement between the Ukrainian government and the North-Atlantic Treaty Organization on the status of the NATO Representation to Ukraine, which was signed on September 22, 2015 in Kyiv, shall enter into force on the date of the communication by Ukrainian government on the completion of the internal procedures necessary for its entry into force.

In accordance with Article 2 of this Agreement, NATO is to establish the Representation consisting of the NATO Liaison Office and NATO Information and Documentation Center.

The Representation should contribute to the strengthening and expanding Ukraine's participation in all activities of cooperation with NATO, providing advice to the state bodies of Ukraine, as well as cooperation with the relevant NATO bodies in the context of the associated Ukraine-NATO activities, cooperation programs, etc.
