SIMFEROPOL (QHA) - Chairman of the Crimean Council Ministers Anatoly Mogilev called on Crimeans “not to tolerate any manifestations of interethnic and religious hatred”. He said this at a press conference in Simferopol on October 22. “This is manifestation of some elements destructive for Crimea. I would not be surprised to learn that the same people set on fire Muslim mosques and orthodox churches. I would not be surprised to learn that same people try to destabilize the situation in Crimea…..The task of all of us, Crimeans, is not to tolerate such manifestations. There should be a severe punishment for this. Thank God, up till now, Crimea has retained interethnic and religious harmony…I set a task for our law enforcers to pay special attention to prevention of such manifestations….I call on all the Crimeans to not tolerate this”, said Mogilev. As reported, on the eve of the Muslim holiday Kurban Bayram, central mosque of Saki town was set on fire. The next day, another mosque in Krasnogvardeyskiy district was fired up.
