“Separation of forces and means in the village of Stanitsa Luganska, Lugansk district, is impossible because of attacks by militants,” wrote on Facebook Daria Olifer, a spokesperson for the Ukrainian representative in the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) and the second President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma, as a result of the TCG meeting in Minsk on Wednesday.
At the same time, she noted that representatives of the so-called leaders of certain areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions continue to shell this sector in violation of the framework decision of the Tripartite Liaison Group adopted on September 21, 2016.
“OSCE SMM recorded fresh craters from explosions of shells fired at the site from the automatic grenade launchers,” Olifer wrote.
At the meeting in Minsk, September 21, the Trilateral Contact Group signed a framework agreement on the separation of forces and facilities at three areas in Donbas. The withdrawal took place near the village of Zolote on October 1, near Petrovske - on October 7. However, due to constant attacks by militants, the separation has not been carried out near the village of Stanitsa Luganska.
