Today, April 20, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has created the Ministry for the Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons, according to Lb.ua.

The new Ministry was formed through the merger of the State Agency for Donbas Restoration and the State Service of Ukraine for the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.

Further, Vadym Chernysh, Minister of Affairs of Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons, said that he will be able to proceed directly to the formation of the agency.

It was reported earlier that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has appointed a new composition of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on April 14. Vadym Chernysh, Chairman of the State Agency for Donbas Restoration, was appointed the Minister of Affairs of Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons. 

The State Agency for Donbas Restoration is engaged in realizing the state policy on the implementation of measures to restore the industrial, social and transport infrastructure, as well as housing and life support systems for settlements in Donetsk and Luhansk regions damaged as a result of anti-terrorist operations. It is also involved in development of industry in these regions, as well as the provision of social protection and professional reintegration of persons displaced from ATO areas and residing on the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
