MFA condemns detention of Crimean Tatars

Representatives of the MFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine) strongly condemn the arbitrary detention of 35 Crimean Tatars in the village of Pionerske.

"35 Crimean Tatars were detained in the occupied Crimea. Gross violation of human rights on the part of Russia continues. We strongly condemn it. #CrimeaIsUkraine," Mariana Betsa, MFA of Ukraine Spokesperson, twitted.

As QHA reported earlier, in the evening, April 1, armed men detained 35 Crimean Tatars at the local cafe in the village of Pionerske, Simferopol region. 

Later on, Ilmi Umerov, Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of Crimean Tatars, said in his interview with 112 Ukraine that the detainees were release after taking their fingerprints and DNA saliva test.
