The meetings were arranged in the European Parliament and the European External Action Service.
During the meeting Abduraman Egiz acquainted the former President of the European Parliament (2009-2012) MEP Jerzy Buzek with Mustafa Cemil’s appeal addressed to the MEPs dedicated to organization and arrangement of the International Forum on Crimean Tatar problem.
Jerzy Buzek has estimated the efforts of the Crimean Tatars who operate under democratic methods and non-violence principles.
The MEP stressed the international community has always supported the Crimean Tatars in their struggle against the Communist regime of the Soviet Union and absolutely supports the idea of an international forum. "I believe Ukraine, as part of the European family, will make the right decision and this important event will take place in Ukraine - said the MEP Jerzy Buzek.
During the meeting with Deputy Chief of the Division of the Eastern Partnership of the European External Action Service in Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus and the Caucasus Reinhold Brender the importance of International Forum was discussed. The forum is to be arranged within framwork of the preparation process for the EU-Ukraine Agreement in Vilnius. The importance lies in the fact that the forum is devoted to the issue of restoration of the Crimean Tatars' rights.
Mr. A. Egiz stressed the Majlis stands for integration of Ukraine into the European Union. This fact is well-known in Ukraine.
There were also arranged the meetings with other members of the European Parliament and the leader of the European Parliament Delegation for Russia Knut Fleckenstein, Bernd Posselt (Germany), Tunne Kelam (Estonia), Leonidas Donskis (Lithuania), Paul Zalewski (Poland) and Emine Bozkurt (the Netherlands) who is ethnically is Crimean Tatar.
It worth mentioning that during the meetings listed above the possibilities of the international community to help the Crimean Tatars were discussed. Moreover theу discussed possible help from the European institutions and deputies of the European Parliament to hold the Forum.
