Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people will continue its work in Crimea in customary regime. Following decision was made at the Mejlis sitting July 7.

In particular, it concerns the activity of working groups on conducting the II World Congress of Crimean Tatar people, Kurultay session and other events.

Due to modern communications, head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people will participate in the work of Mejlis.

As it was earlier reported, head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov was banned from entering Crimea for 5 years over “extremist activity” on July 5.

Chubarov is the second Crimean Tatar leader who faced the ban, as in May 2014 Crimean Tatar leader Mustafa Jemilev was also banned entry his Homeland, Crimea, for 5 years.
