Head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov suggested holding daily meetings with Crimean authorities. He told this during the briefing in Simferopol.

According to Chubarov such meetings should be held with the participation of head of Crimean City Council, head of Security Service of Ukraine in Crimea, Head of Interior Ministry of Crimea, as well as the head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people.

“The meeting should be held as quickly as possible in order to preserve peace in Crimea” – he said.

Chubarov also announced special commission should be sent to Crimea to monitor the situation in Crimea.

As reported earlier, Georgia ex-president Mikhail Saakishvili also advised Ukrainians to focus on the situation on the peninsula.

He is convinced Russia president Putin “is scheming to do something there”.

To recall, at the rally held in Sevastopol on Feb. 23, acticists burned down Ukrainian flags and asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to bring Crimea under Moscow's control.
