In addition to the Crimea's food blockade, the Crimean Tatars will seek an end to the electricity supply to the peninsula, reported Crimean News citing MP Refat Chubarov, the Head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars as saying at a meeting of the coordinating council in Genichesk district administration, Kherson region.

- At the first, the occupants won't rethink their actions against us. But then October comes. Yesterday we clearly told the president that if they don’t adhere to human rights observance in any way, then we do not know for what we ought to supply electricity, Chubarov said.

According to the Head of the Mejlis, in recent talks with the Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko they have discussed temination of the electricity supply to the peninsula.

Reminder: the initiative group of Crimean Tatars and Ukrainian patriots announced the arrangments of a peaceful Crimea-Ukraine border blockade due to the continuous reprisals to the Crimean Tatar people and other nationalities residing in Crimea.

In turn, the authorities of the peninsula said Crimea being ready for possible Ukraine’s transport and food blockade.
