Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people started a preparation for referendum on determining the political will of Crimean Tatar people on Crimea’s future. Still it is unknown whether the referendum will take place.
“We have already started the preparations for possible referendum. Despite of the fact it is unknown whether it will take place, we should be ready for it” – member of organizational group on preparation of referendum Abduraman Egiz said.
He also added Mejlis has already contacted international organizations, such as UN and OSCE.
“This referendum should be legitimate and the result should be recognized by international community”- he said.
To recall, at the Kurultay of Crimean Tatar people March 29, head of Mejlis Refat Chubarov emphasized that Crimean Tatars have their right for self-determination.
