Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people offered condolences over Boeing-777 crash in Ukraine. 

“Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people offers sincere condolences to relatives of those who died in Malaysia Airlines plane crash, that fell a victim of terrorist attack”- read the statement on Mejlis website.

“Terrible tragedy, which killed 295 people, many of whom were children, once again proves that terrorism supported by individual countries threatens the territorial integrity of countries, life and safety of millions of people”- Mejlis noted.

“Mejlis also called on international community to take effective and immediate actions to investigate and punish terrorists who shot down the civil plane, with almost 300 people on the board. It also called on to use international norms to respond those who assisted in committing the crime”- summed up in the statement.

Malaysian Airlines Boeing-777 flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur was shot down on Thursday evening on the territory of Ukraine, near the border with Russia. No one survived.

Both the government in Kiev and the pro-Russia separatists who have been fighting in the Donetsk region denied any responsibility for downing the plane, which was carrying 295 people.
