Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people is not satisfied with the fact that there is a small amount of Crimean Tatars who entered Ukrainian Parliament, after parliamentary elections took place Oct 26.
“There are enough Crimeans in the Parliament, still there is a small amount of Crimean Tatars, Mejlis representatives, who played and are playing a great role in Ukrainian and Crimean politics”- deputy head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Nariman Dzhelal said to QHA correspondent.
“As for Refat Chubarov, one of the most influential politicians of Crimea, who managed to control the situation in Crimea during the hot months (March-April 2014, when Crimean referendum was held-,ed.) he was put number 71 in the list of Petro Poroshenko’s Bloc”- Dzhelal stressed.
“There is a claim on those people who determined the sequence of the candidates in the list [of MP candidates]”- Dzhelal summed up.
To recall, Crimean Tatar leader Mustafa Jemilev, number 5in the list of MPs of the Petro Poroshenko’s Bloc is expected to become a member of Ukrainian Parliament. Meanwhile the head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov, number 71 in the list failed to enter Ukrainian Parliament.
