In Kyiv, the third Annual meeting of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people with heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations, accredited in Ukraine took place, reports QHA correspondent.
The meeting was attended by more than 30 representatives of foreign embassies, international organizations, UN, EU, International Organization for Migration in Ukraine, regional office of UNHCR in Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine, full composition of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people, led by its chairman Refat Chubarov and ex-chairman of Mejlis and MP of Ukraine Mustafa Jemilev.
Also the event was attended by representatives of ministries and departments of central authorities of Ukraine, as well as representatives of the Crimean authorities.
The participants discussed ways to solve the Crimean Tatar issue in the framework of Ukraine’s European Integration intentions. One of the keys issues was conducting of the International Forum on restoration of rights of Crimean Tatars at their homeland and issues related to return and rehabilitation of Crimean Tatars.
The official organizer of the meeting was the charitable organization "Crimean Development Fund" in partnership with the Crimean International Business Association CIBA.
In the course of the meeting, Mejlis chairman Refat Chubarov introduced newly elected members of Mejlis to representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations.
