Simferopol (QHA) - During the session on November 19, Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people adopted a statement “On Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union”. In the statement, Mejlis appeals to the Ukrainian President, Ukrainian Parliament and EU member states to undertake over the remaining 10 days measures for the successful signing of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU. The statement stressed that signing the Association Agreement will lay a new format of relations between Ukraine and EU and will open ways for conducting system legal reforms in Ukraine based on EU standards and regulations. Mejlis also expressed hope that Ukraine will accept laws and other legal acts aimed at restoration of rights of Crimean Tatar people returning from places of deportation to their historic homeland Crimea; and that the international community will support Ukraine in this process.
