Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people will hold 3 main events dedicated to 70th anniversary of deportation of 1944.
The decision was made at Mejlis of Crimean Tatar session May 5.
It is planned to arrange annual climb to Chatyrdag Mountain on May 10, requiem “burn a fire in your heart” on May 17 and all-Crimean mourning meeting in Simferopol on May 18.
Head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov emphasized, that despite of the changes, Crimea faced in recent time, Mejlis will try to fulfil the plan.
Meanwhile Crimean vice premier Rustam Temirgaliev announced yesterday on Facebook, that “the mourning meeting, dedicated to 70th anniversary of tragic events of deportation, will be attended by Crimean authorities, Mejlis representatives, civil organizations and honorable guests from Moscow and Tatarstan, along with Muslim and Orthodox spiritual leaders”
