KYIV (QHA) -

May 5, the central office of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people in Kyiv hosted a meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry and the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights. The participants coordinated their actions in the context of the decision adopted by the UN International Court on Crimea, according to the Head of the Mejlis Refat Chubarov.

“The Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people not only monitors the measures taken against Russia after the UN International Court adopted Intermediate Resolution on the suit of Ukraine against Russia on Crimea and Donbas on April 19, 2017, but also develops certain measures to force Russia implement the decision of the UN Court of Justice to abolish the ban on the activities of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people and lift the ban on the entry of its leaders into the Crimea as soon as possible," Chubarov said.

The Head of the Mejlis noted that the meeting was attended by the Head of the Foreign Ministry Department of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Oksana Zolotareva, the Adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Taras Kachka and the Head of the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada Human Rights Commissioner Bogdan Kriklivenko.
