More than 8,000 soldiers, who served in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, violated the oath and joined the invaders, Anatoly Matios, Ukraine's Chief Military Prosecutor, reports.
“The number of Ukrainian soldiers who have not left the territory of Crimea, and in fact betrayed the Ukrainian oath, stands at more than 8,000 people. All of them are put on the wanted list and declared suspect. All the precautions are taken to detain them and transfer to the Ukrainian court if they cross the administrative border with Ukraine,” Matios stated in his televised interview to the 5 TV channel.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry reported that a total of 3,197 soldiers and their family members moved to the mainland Ukraine after the occupation of Crimea by Russia.
