According to Lyashko , Ukrainian film-maker Alexander Dovzhenko, who Charlie Chaplin referred to as ‘an ingenious artist the Slav world gave this world, died this day 59 years ago. To mark this date, Lyashko suggested that Dovzhenko’s body be delivered from Moscow and reinterred in Ukraine, a QHA correspondent reports from the Parliament.

“Young Ukrainians should know their heroes!” exclaimed Lyashko.

Lyashko continued in the same patriotic vein:

“We should look up to our Turkish neighbors. They gave a warning first and then hit them hard. If we had done the same thing, no war and annexation of Crimea would have happened!” said Lyashko
