Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko jointly with American partners discussed a format and schedule of the new General Inspectorate. The task of the new body is to identify the "turncoats" in the GPU, Ukraine’s Attorney General wrote on Facebook.

- Jointly with our American partners we have agreed upon the format and schedule for the establishment of the General Inspectorate. The aim of the latter is to identify the turncoats in the GPU.

With this view, I will ask the MPs to clarify the law. In July, I plan to appoint Vitvitskiyi, the Assistant US Attorney of Ukrainian origin, to head the selection board. However, we will start the primary cleansing even earlier with the support of the Internal Security Forces.

May, 12 MPs elected Yuriy Lutsenko to the post of a new Prosecutor General of Ukraine. Lutsenko is a former head of the faction "Petro Poroshenko’s Block," as well as the former Internal Affairs Minister under the presidency of Viktor Yushchenko.
