Lithuania provided humanitarian aid to Ukraine

EUR 50 million will be transferred to the account of the World Health Organization in order to assist the Ukrainian people who suffered from military actions in Donbas.

The funds will be distributed among the regions with health, nutrition, water and education problems, and part of them will be channeled for the UNICEF Children's Fund, reported the Foreign Ministry of Lithuania.

- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania has rendered Ukraine a humanitarian assistance in the amount of 50 thousand euro, reads the message.

According to the UN-Ukraine humanitarian response plan 2016, the volume of urgent humanitarian aid for the country reaches USD 298 million.

Since the start of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, Lithuania has allocated to Ukraine humanitarian assistance worth over EUR 1.1 million.
