(QHA) -

Russia intends to demand a ceasefire in eastern Ukraine in the upcoming "Normandy format" negotiations in Berlin at the level of Foreign Ministers.

"We will demand an immediate ceasefire, which is the main priority during the "Normandy format " talks," – announced the Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov.

According to the Foreign Minister, it is necessary to stop seizing settlements and conducting military operations in the region.

Minister Lavrov also expressed his concern over Ukrainian actions.

"We are very concerned about another outbreak of violence in southeastern Ukraine. It was preceded by Kyiv's menacing statements, the announcement by President Poroshenko of a new wave of mobilization reaching 100,000 people. New equipment, weapon and personnel have been moved to the region during the ceasefire, "- Russian Foreign Minister said.
