Ukraine’s acting President Oleksander Turchynov signed a decree on restoration of rights of deported citizens adopted by Ukrainian Parliament April 17, President’s official web site reports.

The decree adopted by Ukrainian Parliament April 17 defines the status of persons deported on ethnical basis, determines the guarantees on restoration of their rights, principles of state policy and powers of state authorities, local self-government to restore the rights of these persons.

Earlier, commenting the decree Crimean Tatar leader Mustafa Jemilev said the document has no practical significance.

“The document is backward and has no practical significance now. It will have it only after Crimean occupation is over”- he said.

As we earlier reported, Kyiv declared Crimean peninsula, that was annexed by Russia in March,  “temporary occupied territory”
