SIMFEROPOL (QHA) - On the eve of the 1st session of Kurultay of Crimean Tatar people of VI convocation, unknown people sent to Kurultay delegates anonymous letters with “false and cynical content” about deputy head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Remzi Ilyasov, informs press service of Mejlis. As it became known, the letters came in postal envelopes to Kurultay delegates with Mejlis’s address put in the sender line. The letter inside contained “false facts about professional activities of the deputy head of Mejlis Remzi Ilyasov”. “The implementers of this cynical provocation were so in a hurry to send the letters before the beginning of Kurultay that in many letters they mixed up the addresses of ‘sender’ and ‘receiver’. Thus, most of the letters returned back to the office address of Mejlis”, informs press service of Mejlis. According to press service’s statement, the authors of the letters were trying to bring suspicion, distrust and tension among new members of Kurultay. Remzi Ilyasov commented the situation. He said that over the years of his career he developed immunity to such provocations from his opponents in the system of national self-governance of Crimean Tatars. “Similar provocations were in 2002, when I was elected deputy head of Mejlis”, says Ilyasov.
