MOSCOW (QHA) -

The Russian presidential administration has confirmed that Putin will arrive in New York for the UN General Assembly meeting on September 28, 2015. It is not yet known what topics Putin will cover in his speech, but the war in Syria and ISIS will definitely be on the meeting’s agenda.

The importance of this year’s meeting is underscored by the fact that Chinese President Xi Jinping, Iranian President Hasan Asani, Pope of Rome and other heads of states will be participating in it.

Prior to Putin, Medvedev, former Russian President, and Sergey Lavrov, Russia’s Foreign Minister, addressed the UN General Assembly. Putin himself spoke at the UN General Assembly in 2000, 2003 and 2005.
