Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President, had to justify the words of Chechnya's leader Ramzan Kadyrov, who said that the Russian army could "bend the whole world," RBK reports.
Peskov said that "some arguments were really quite tough, but they should be viewed in context and if considered in context, then nothing extraordinary was said."
July 15, Ramzan Kadyrov gave an interview to the American television channel HBO, in which he said that the US is pursuing a policy directed against the leadership of Russia.
Asked by the journalist whether he views the US as Russia's enemy, Kadyrov said that America is not such a strong state "to regard it as an enemy of Russia."
“We have a strong state and a nuclear power. If even our state is completely destroyed, our missiles will automatically fly there. We will turn the whole world upside down and bend it,” Kadyrov said.
